All prospective employees require a criminal record check, child intervention check and an oath of confidentiality prior to having contact with any of our clients. In addition, they must have obtained two years of post-secondary education, have two years direct experience OR have a combination of education and experience that is equivalent to two years. Training required during the first three months of employment includes: First Aid/CPR(level C), Critical Response Training and Medication Administration. Other training required within six months of employment is Suicide Intervention Training and Aboriginal Awareness Training. Most of this training is provided by the agency and is of no cost to the employee – for more information on training schedule or requirements contact human resources.
Our agency conducts interviews in a group format and usually designates one day for interviews on a semi-regular basis. Interview times are set throughout the day and involve two interviewers and up to six interviewees. Possible employees are asked to bring two professional or scholastic references to the interview to assist in the initiation of the reference check process. Only those candidates successful through the screening process will be contacted for an interview.
Alta Care Resources is an equal opportunity employer and carries a strong commitment to cultural sensitivity and diversity.
Due to high demand only those who meet our selection criteria will receive a call back for an interview.
